Sam Walton

My dream began in Barlows Primary School when I wanted to be Goldilocks in our end of year show. A different girl got the part, but I made my class laugh so much when we had to read the script out loud - I knew I loved entertainment! I then went to Maricourt Catholic High school. I loved it there because from my very first week of year 7, I enrolled in Drama Club! So not only was I learning about Acting in Class - I was also making new friends and fun memories at Lunchtime too! I chose to Study Drama at GCSE and was extremely lucky, as we had just gotten our amazing purpose-built Drama studios. I then stayed on, at Maricourt's Sixth form to study Drama and Performing Arts (along-side psychology) because I loved the teachers, as well as the professional studios when it came to show days. I jumped straight from Sixth-form to Liverpool Hope University where I studied Drama for 3 years earning a first-class degree! Since leaving university in 2013 I have had the pleasure of Acting and performing on stage to thousands of people across the UK and I have featured on a couple of adverts you might have seen on TV! Last year I starred in 2 different one-woman shows - one of which I co-wrote!! I really enjoy my life as an Actress, the most rewarding part of my job is that no two days are ever the same! One day I'm a serious Doctor, the next day I play a clown!! My message to young people deciding on a future career is... "Choose something you LOVE to do, and you will never work a day in your life"

Much Love,

Sam xx
