Maricourt Library

An enriching centre of both learning and reading, Maricourt's library is an essential part of our school community. With a wide range of fiction and non-fiction texts, there is something to appeal to readers of all interests and abilities.

Pupils in Years 7 - 13 are encouraged to visit the library at break or lunchtime, where they are free to browse, select a book to borrow, take the time to engage in reading or revise for upcoming assessments or examinations.

We have a study area dedicated to sixth form students, providing a peaceful environment in which they can engage in independent learning or revision throughout the day. Computer access and a range of higher-level academic resources are available to support those wishing to conduct research to supplement their studies.

On Tuesdays to Thursday, the library is open until 4.15 so that pupils in KS4 and KS5 can complete revision.

Whether you are a sixth-former making the most of a free period to catch up on some work or a pupil in Years 7-11 taking some time to read the latest chapter of an engrossing book during break or lunchtime, the library is a quiet and relaxing place for all.
