My journey began at St George’s Primary School where I developed a passion for all thing’s maths and science. From here my journey progressed as I attended Maricourt Catholic High School. Here, my thirst for knowledge and passion for problem solving grew stronger with every teacher inspiring me along the way. Mrs Grieco, in particular, embodied everything I wanted to be; strong, motivating and passionate. It was here, I knew what I wanted to become a teacher. Maricourt Sixth Form allowed me to develop new skills where I studied Biology, Maths and Further Maths. I then went on to Edge Hill University where I achieved a First Class Degree and I now enjoy life as a Primary School Teacher. Teaching has opened many doors to my creativity such as the opportunity to write a book based on Greater Depth Mathematics for Year Three. I am also able to be a part of shaping childrens’ futures. My message to young people deciding on a future career is to follow your heart and you will never work a day in your life!
