My dream to become a teacher started in St Gregory’s Catholic Primary School where I was inspired by my Year 2 teacher Miss Hook to become a teacher just like her! I then went on to Maricourt Catholic High School. I loved my time there because I made so many new friends and all of the teachers go above and beyond for each student and I always felt part of the Maricourt community. I then decided to stay on in sixth form and study English, Business and Health because I had an interest in each of these subjects. I also knew they would give me knowledge and skills to help me in the next chapter of my education. I am currently in University training to become a primary school teacher! My message to young people deciding on a future career is do what you love or what you are inspired by, don’t let anyone else make the decisions for you as it’s your career and it’s okay if you don’t know what you want to do as a career. Research things you are interested in as there are careers out there that you didn’t even know existed.
