Wellbeing Hub

The Well-being Clinic is designed to support our pupils' emotional, spiritual and mental health. The centre offers individual and group support via our Wellbeing Team. Sessions on all sorts of topics are offered such as understanding and managing anxiety, stress, low moods, raising self-esteem, challenging negative thinking, relationships or help with learning. The different topics covered and useful tips and resources can be found in the Mental Health and Wellbeing part of the website.

We have a Wellbeing Hub which comprises of a timeout space, for quiet learning with access to a Learning Mentor, wellbeing garden and wellbeing clinic. This allows a triage approach to offer education, safeguarding as well as supporting emotional health and wellbeing. We have three learning mentors, Mrs Turner, Miss Allen and Mrs McCarthy.

The wellbeing hub is the base for all our private and small group mental health support sessions. One Learning Mentor is based here each day delivering planed mentor sessions as part of our in school interventions. Learning Mentors focus on coping strategies to regulate their emotions.

Weekly visitors include; Our school counsellor and our Mental Health practitioner from the Sefton Mental Health team.  We also facilitate one to one and group intervention on a weekly basis, often delivered by our Everton in the Community mentors or the LFC Onside team. The school nurse provides a drop in service during lunchtime every other week which is available to all students. Other visitors to school such as Young Carers, Social workers and other various agencies use this space to provide support.

Surveys are sent out to students via ClassCharts to identify areas of support need; this information is calibrated and becomes the basis of future intervention topics, and cohorts which are organised by the Learning Mentors. This allows us to have a triage approach to support in school and helps us ensure each student gets support really tailored to need.
