A-Level and Vocational Results 2025

A day of great celebration for the students of Maricourt Catholic High School Sixth Form Centre yet again as students gained top grades that has allowed them to achieve their dreams of studying at university and higher-level apprenticeships.

The Maths department started the ball rolling with Harry Moore gaining a deserved A* and A in Maths and Further Maths, meaning he goes off to study Aerospace Engineering at University of Liverpool.

Another A* performer is Amber Paterson, who gained her top grade in History and will study Ancient History there, her EPQ was a fascinating insight into the Roman Empire to keep the history theme throughout her sixth form studies.

Another set of good results for twins, April and Isobel Daly who both achieved D*s in Business Studies as well as grade As and Bs in their other subjects. The will also be attending the University of Liverpool and will be studying Psychology and Evolutionary Anthropology.

A couple of students have opted for studies in the creative arts with Alex Quigg going to Sunderland to study Illustration and Design; whilst Zofia Witan is staying closer to home studying Theatre and Production Technology at LIPA.

There is also a group of students heading down the higher apprenticeship route in a range of careers such as Luke Curnyn in the NHS with electrical engineering, Mia Scott also in the NHS in accounting and Eleanor Curtis joining Barclays in their IT department.

Vocational subjects continue to do well with Business, Sport and Health & Social Care students achieving a good number of Distinction* and Distinction grades. Both academic and vocational subjects posted strong results to contribute to an overall positive upward trend.

Congratulations to all, we look forward to catching up with your progress in the coming months and years.
