UCAS and Student Finance

All students receive UCAS training through a variety of workshops and university open days and conferences. This is complemented with sessions from local universities on how to prepare personal statements. This is combined with ongoing tailored support from tutors and continuous access to a careers advisor. Students are also teamed up with an employer or mentor who specialises in the students career area of interest.

The CIAG programme allows students to confidently progress onto competitive degree and higher level apprenticeships, school leaver programmes or go directly into employment.

Destination data shows that students progress to universities all over the country which are best suited to their chosen study route. Many students secure places on competitive courses at Russell group universities and there is an increasing number of students participating in the Oxbridge programme and making successful applications. Popular study routes and successful applications include Medicine, Psychology, Sociology, Business, Marketing, Law, Politics, Finance, Engineering, Mathematics, Teaching, Nursing, Midwifery, Dentistry, Sports Science, Geographical Science and Physiotherapy.
